Today, I went for a walk with a close friend. (Yay for being able to hug, connect, and even come inside if weather is bad!)
I shared about my recent online class: Seeing. It was a blend of photography and mindfulness practices. Basically, I bared my soul about the journey I’ve taken the past 10 years. And I felt tender and vulnerable!
It was as if class = Joy. So, if people didn’t enjoy the class, they didn’t like me. I know this isn’t true! I know it in my bones. Still, it was “up” for me and I want to acknowledge this publicly.
Because all of us feel this way sometimes. We get identified with our work or creativity or roles or responsibilities.
But here’s the reality: We’re okay and enough, we’re lovable and worthy, not for our achievements and doings, but because we exist—because we were born.
This is a reminder to me and all y’all: You are enough.
You have enough. You do enough. You are enough.
