Staying Connected

There are many ways we can spread love, kindness, and compassion, even while physically separated. This is an uncertain, strange time for everyone. Fear spreads fast and furious yet we can’t live long within fear. Our well-being calls for connection, hope, and love.

Consider the people you love. Reach out to them—text, call, email, message—with words of gratitude and care. Take a 3-breath pause and connect in a meaningful way.

Consider the people you know who are vulnerable. People in high-risk groups for coronavirus. People who live alone. People whose jobs are in jeopardy. Then consider the people who love those people. Again, take a 3-breath pause and reach out to them. Let people know you’re thinking of them. No alarm bells needed. Lead with compassion, care, and love.

These are small ways we can spread goodness during this difficult time. I've heard about so many businesses, communities, and people doing the good right in front of them, making a compassionate response. We can give virtual hugs through our caring words; through showing up for each other, even from afar; through asking the genuine question, “How are you in this moment?”
