Day 2: What's Real (honest expression)
Yesterday, I spoke about my heavy heart; about how much I miss people; about grief. It was a relief to name and express my sadness. Rather than pretending “I’m doing great!”, I made space for being not okay. Speaking this publicly took off the edge.
After watching yesterday’s video, I noticed something anew: When I spoke about my difficult emotions, I smiled. Unconsciously, I wanted to send you a message that I’m okay. This makes me wonder about all our interactions. How do we express in honest, genuine ways? How do we allow for sadness just as sadness? How do we allow for happiness even during a pandemic?
As I continue these videos, my intention is to be true (to whatever arises!).
